Dr Joyce is fluent in Chinese, Japanese and English and aims to deliver a satisfying smile to all her patients

Dental treatment in Australia is often not covered by insurance, making it more expensive, so many people put up with some pain or oral discomfort.

People who are not comfortable with the English language or with dentists may also put up with the pain, which can make it worse.

Take good care of your teeth and mouth before it gets worse.

Afraid of going to dental clinic or afraid of dentists?

Meet our very friendly Dr Joyce.

Dr Joyce and Dr Kim speak Japanese and Chinese(Dr Joyce only), so even if you are worried about your English in Australia or if you have never been to an overseas dental practice before, don’t worry.

You can also ask for detailed information about your teeth and oral condition in Chinese or Japanese.

What does a dental check-up?

Even if you brush your teeth at least three times a day, the backs of your teeth are often left unbrushed, which can lead to decay.

Daily self-care alone is not enough because plaque, a mass of bacteria, tends to grow between teeth and on overlapping teeth where saliva does not flow easily in the mouth.

The best way to check the condition of your teeth is to have a regular dental check-up and take action before cavities develop.

A dental check-up includes a full examination for cavities and oral conditions. Even small, symptomless cavities can be detected and treated immediately.

Regular dental check-ups can save you time and money and prevent a wide range of oral problems.

What does teeth cleaning ?

An important addition to a dental check-up is a dental cleaning.

Daily dental care can remove plaque, tartar and hard-to-remove stains from teeth.

Plaque that cannot be removed by daily brushing combines with minerals in saliva and calcifies to form tartar.

Tartar cannot be removed by brushing alone, but scaling (tartar removal) removes not only plaque and tartar, but also pigmentation from cigarette smoke, coffee and red wine.

Scaling (polishing) is also used to smooth rough tooth surfaces, which not only keeps your teeth and mouth healthy, but also keeps your teeth looking beautiful.
