*What is Invisalign? How to proceed with treatment

The Invisalign® system is an orthodontic procedure that uses a removable, clear, mouthpiece-type device to straighten teeth without the use of hardware or wires.

The device is so discreet that you will rarely notice you are wearing it.

It is very simple to use. The thin, transparent mouthpiece is worn for at least 20 hours a day and is replaced with a new mouthpiece every week or two to slowly move the teeth.
All the mouthpieces used are made together at the beginning of the process, so there is no need for frequent visits to the dentist’s office to take a dental mold.

The effectiveness of the treatment has been proven by universities and academic societies around the world, so you can rest assured that you are in good hands.
This orthodontic system is suitable for all ages, from children to adults.

Recommended for the following

  • I want to laugh as much as I can without worrying about my mouth (Invisalign gives me beautiful teeth)
  • I don’t want to wear wires (Invisalign is invisible)
  • I don’t want to have my teeth extracted (no need for tooth extraction)
  • I want to whiten my teeth (whitening is possible at the same time!)
  • I want to eat as usual (no food restrictions)

How do you get your teeth straightened out?

Just wear the mouthpiece.

It is very easy to use! Simply wear the transparent mouthpiece on your teeth except when eating and brushing your teeth (about 20 hours a day) and your teeth will gradually move.

What is the process from consultation to completion of orthodontic treatment?

1. Consultation
Consultation with Clinic Director Dr Kim to explain the treatment flow of orthodontic treatment (including Invisalign), the approximate treatment period and costs. The treatment period varies from person to person depending on the condition of the teeth, and may be as short as 3 months or as long as 1 to 3 years.

2. Detailed examination and in-depth treatment plan
A thorough examination of the mouth, including taking a dental Scan, intraoral photographs, and x-rays ($509 total: deducted from the package price if you wish to proceed to Invisalign treatment). Based on the consultation and thorough examination, Dr. Kim will develop a customized treatment plan for you in two to three weeks. This is the stage where you will see a 3D simulation showing how your teeth will move from the start to the completion of treatment, and you will also hear an explanation that will help you better understand the treatment process in advance.

3. Determination of treatment period and treatment cost
Clinic Director Kim will explain the treatment plan that has been created, and you can discuss any questions or requests that you may have. At this point, the exact treatment period and cost of orthodontic treatment (including Invisalign) are determined. After final approval of the treatment plan, you will be asked to make a down payment according to the course fee.

4. Ordering of Invisalign mouthpiece
For Invisalign, our clinic will order a special Invisalign mouthpiece.

5. Dental checkup, cleaning, and treatment of tooth decay and gum disease
Before your Invisalign mouthpiece arrives, we will perform a dental checkup and cleaning of your mouth in order to achieve a higher orthodontic effect. At this point, if there are any cavities or periodontal disease, dental treatment will be provided if desired (extra charge).

6. Start of orthodontic treatment
For Invisalign, orthodontic treatment begins with the wearing of the special mouthpiece received. In the initial stage, patients visit the clinic once a week for 3 weeks to wear attachments, etc. After that, depending on the treatment plan, patients usually visit the clinic once every 6 to 8 weeks. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you are planning to visit us from a distant place such as another state. At home, you will move your teeth by replacing the mouthpiece with a new one by yourself about every 7-14 days. We recommend that you wear the mouthpiece at least 20 hours a day, except when eating, drinking, or brushing your teeth.

7. Retention period
After all the mouthpieces have been worn and the alignment of the teeth has been improved, the patient will be placed on a retainer (extra charge) to stabilize the braces so that the teeth will not return to their original position due to habits such as tongue movement.
